Stockport Food Bank (Together with Trussell)

Providing emergency food to people in crisis.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

Stockport Foodbank

Stockport Foodbank is looking to help all those going through "tough times" with the provision of emergency food parcels which contain enough food for 3 days irrespective of the size of your household. In addition we also include toiletries, plus nappies and bay wipes. We welcome referrals from all sectors of your community and look to help all our clients with a friendly welcome, something to eat and drink as well as signposting to any other agencies whom we think will be of help.

Getting a voucher

If you are a Stockport Homes tenant, please contact their Money Advice Team on 0161 217 6016 (option 3 and then option 4). For all other Stockport residents, please contact Stockport Council’s cost of living crisis line on 0161 474 2140.

If you are unable to reach a voucher agency then please call the Foodbank on 07483 115349 9am – 5pm

Once you have been issued with a voucher, you can exchange this for a minimum of three days of emergency food at your nearest foodbank centre.

Chelwood Foodbank Plus

Our charity is an emergency service, providing pre-packed food parcels, to support only those in financial crisis and food poverty. You can utilise this referral service up to a maximum of 3 visits, in a 13 week period. Should you find that you are in need of longer term support, we suggest that you consider joining a food club which we will be happy to discuss with you further, during your visit.
