Food
Breakfast Club & Tuck Shop
Our main Breakfast Club operates from our Vocation Centre every morning from 8.10am and is open to all students who travel to school independently (those who use LA transport do not arrive in school until 8.40am). All items cost 50p.
Morning break is at 10.45am and is an opportunity for students to have a healthy snack. This can be bought from the school’s tuck-shop where all items cost 50p.
Lunch
All students stay on the school premises at lunchtime. The school offers a varied lunch menu, which incudes hot and cold options, at a charge of £2.60 per day, payable in advance either weekly or half termly (cheques payable to Castle Hill High School) or students may bring their own packed lunch. The three-week menu is shown below:
Please contact the school office if you have any questions about school meals.
If you feel that you may qualify for free school meals, please contact Stockport School Meals Section on 0161 217 6015.

Free school meals
If you are receiving certain benefits, a FREE tasty and nutritious school meal is available for your child at Castle Hill… BUT YOU MUST APPLY!
Look at the benefits:
- A free school meal for your child, which is good for their health and will help their learning.
- Savings for you, worth over £450 a year.
- Extra money for the school through Pupil Premium, worth at least £900 a year.
Just registering your child for Free School Meals means that Castle Hill receives the extra Pupil Premium money, even if you don't take up the free meal.
The process is completely confidential and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming. As all school meals are paid via Parent Pay and students do not pay in person, students never know who gets free school meals.
If you want further information then please call the office on 0161 285 3925 or email admin@castlehill.stockport.sch.uk; everything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Healthy snacking
Please be aware that although students may bring in drinks and snacks from home, fizzy drinks are not allowed in school or on school trips. We also discourage sweets, chocolate and crisps.
