Christmas Fayre
A final reminder that it's our Christmas Fayre tomorrow morning from 10.00-12.00. Access to the fayre will be via the side gate near the bin-store, rather than through the main entrance.
Parents' Evening
Many thanks to all the parents and carers of Year 7 pupils who attended parents' evening yesterday. If you did attend, please take a moment to complete the feedback form that has been sent to your phone, as this helps us to plan for future events.
Dates of our other parents' evenings this year are:
Years 8 & 10: Thursday 2nd February 2023
Years 9 & 11: Thursday 9th March 2023
Years 12 & 13: Thursday 30th March 2023
All events are from 3.00 - 5.00pm.
End of term progress reports
We usually send out a short report showing your child's progress in each subject, at the end of every term. We are, however, in the process of switching to a new assessment and tracking software system, which we hope will be easier for pupils and parents to understand. Staff will be introduced to this system for the first time in the next couple of weeks and it's therefore unlikely that we'll be in a position to generate reports by the end of term. We're aiming to put together a summary report for your child using our new assessment system, along with an explanation of how it works, in January. In the meantime, if you ever have any questions or concerns about your child's progress please don't hesitate to contact the teacher concerned.
Virtuoso violinist
If you don't follow us on Twitter you're missing a treat. We've just posted a video of Demi in Year 9, who despite being blind and therefore unable to read music, has the amazing ability to play any instrument she can get her hand on. She just has to hear a tune once to do her magic.
Do yourself a favour and check out her talent by clicking on this link (it will get you in the Christmas spirit too!):
And, while you're there, why not follow us @CastleHillHigh.
Have a great weekend!
