Castle Hill High School

Welcome to Mrs Hudson!

I’m delighted to announce that, after a rigorous recruitment process, the Governing Board have appointed Mrs Anna Hudson to the role of Headteacher of Castle Hill High School. Mrs Hudson is currently working at a school near Crewe and will join us at the start of the new school year, on 1st September.

Having met with her on several occasions, I can assure you that Mrs Hudson is very much in tune with the ethos of Castle Hill and will have students’ best interests at the heart of everything she does. She will, no doubt, introduce herself to you properly when she joins us in September.

In the meantime, I will continue in the role of Acting Headteacher through to the end of August.

Mrs Barratt

Mrs Susan Barratt, who was a member of Castle Hill's Governing Board for over 30 years, passed away last week after a short illness. She retired from our Governing Board about 5 years ago, so few of you will have come across her, however Castle Hill would not be the school it is today without her support and dedication over many years. Our thoughts and sympathy are with her family
Leavers' Prom

We've already said our formal goodbyes to Year 11 students and next week they've got the chance to let their hair down at their Prom.

They are a year group full of energy and character, who showed remarkable resilience throughout the two years’ of Covid disruption and then embraced all of the opportunities offered to them in Year 11. Whilst many of the students are staying on to our sixth form, 22 of them are leaving us for good, to take up college places elsewhere. We wish this group of students in particular, the very best of luck and look forward to hearing of their continued success in the future.

I’m now off to get my hair styled and my nails nailed, ready for that Year 11 Prom!

Have a great weekend!
