Castle Hill Blog 12/09/25
We are definitely back into the swing of things here this week; I have had the pleasure of numerous pupils visiting me in my office to show me the fantastic work they have been completing. I am so impressed with the focus and determination to succeed.
Life's a Happy Song!
Music magic is happening in our school. We’re so lucky to have such an imaginative teacher — just look at the joy on our pupils’ faces!

Beautiful Drawings
Year 9 are currently studying the theme of “Environment” in Art and Design.
This week they have produced carefully observed drawings of urban landscapes and sea forms.

Childcare
This week, a Year 10 pupil has demonstrated exceptional effort, creativity, and independence in her childcare lesson. She produced a detailed poster outlining a young baby’s daily routine and should be very proud of the quality and care shown in her work. Well done!

New year, New Drama Adventures
Our Year 8s are embracing drama with confidence and creativity! Moving up from Year 7 brings new responsibilities, as pupils become the wise elders of the KS3 school yard. It’s a special time for us to watch new friendships blossom and see our pupils mature as they embrace their new roles. But the most exciting part? Year 8 marks the start of Drama lessons!
After celebrating our Year 11 students’ GCSE Drama successes this summer, it’s been wonderful to see a new group of pupils begin their own drama journey. Not everyone will go on to study Drama at GCSE, but we know they’ll all have fun along the way — and build valuable communication skills that will last far beyond Castle Hill.
This week, our Year 8s fully embraced the fun-filled introduction to Drama — performing favourite songs and memes, and practicing their best expressive faces. Here are some of our budding drama legends in action!
