Castle Hill Blog 13/06/2025
This week has been filled with emotions as we bid farewell to our incredible Year 11 and Year 13 pupils. I have never been very good at saying goodbye and I would say that this year has been harder than ever. I would like to reiterate my words from the Year 11 Leavers' assembly that I couldn't be more proud of each and every one of them. The kindness, respect and faith in one another is truly marvellous-a reminder of the qualities that really matter! When many of them thanked me for the support I had given them, I thanked them right back. It has been an absolute pleasure. Wishing you all the absolute best for the future!
Year 11 Football Match
Castle Hill has many wonderful traditions that have been created over the years. An event which is greatly anticipated and enjoyed is the legendary Year 11 versus staff football match! The crowd of spectators exuded frenzied excitement in every goal saved and scored by the pupils. The staff certainly had quite the work out with our pupils showing incredible resilience and team work. Well done everyone who participated!

Outstanding Outside Spaces
It could be argued that social time is equally important to academic study, as such it is imperative that our pupils can enjoy high quality, safe equipment. After carefully managing our school budget we finally have a good quality astro-pitch that doesn't flood when it rains. The Hub pupils have the trim-trail to have fun with their friends and the KS4 yard has some new gym equipment. It's been wonderful to see the enjoyment and appreciation on our pupils' faces.

And Finally...
The winning team was the red team (Aime Lawson, Brendan Moreland and Ethan Booth) with their rollercoaster called 'Nightfall'. Not only did they manage to work brilliantly together but, I'm sure you agree, produced a very neat and inventive rollercoaster. The roll lasted 6.1 seconds (a whole second longer than their nearest rival, the green team!
