Castle Hill Blog 14/11/25
When the rain is lashing against the window and the wind howls around us it can sometimes make us feel a little gloomy. However, when you're fortunate enough to be a member of Castle Hill then you are reminded of many reasons to stay positive. This week's assembly theme was 'kindness'. It was wonderful to witness pupils saying kind things to each other, as well as reminding each other of all the ways they could be kind.

Fundraising Update!
Our School Disco was a great success last week - the pupils had a brilliant time at both the disco and silent disco, and enjoyed eating their hot dogs too! We raised an amazing £504.39! Thank you to all the staff who supported this, and to our friends at Autisk, for providing the silent disco headsets.
Our Donate Clothes for Sammy Collection raised £190 this week! Thank you for sending your donations into school. Don't worry if you've missed it, we plan a collection each term.
Castle Hill High School has received £48.78 this Donation Day with easyfundraising!
A huge thank you to everyone supporting us. If you haven't joined yet, your Christmas shopping could raise free donations for us - at no extra cost to you.
Right now, when you sign up through the easyfundraising app, we'll get an extra £2 donation for our cause!

Remember, all money raised goes into giving your child fantastic resources and rewards!

The Positivity of Fitness!
Hitting the gym isn’t just about muscles—it’s a real mood booster for young people. Exercise pumps out endorphins (the brain’s feel‑good chemicals), which help cut stress, calm anxiety, and lifts energy. It also sharpens focus, improves sleep, and gives confidence. The gym is like a natural reset button and a great way to stay balanced during the ups and downs. Luca and Thomas are totally in the zone!

And Finally...
This week in school, everything came to a quiet pause as we marked Remembrance Day with a two‑minute silence, reflecting on the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in war. Alongside this, pupils took part in a variety of thoughtful activities centred around the poppy — a symbol of hope and resilience that honours the fallen and reminds us of the importance of remembrance.
