Castle Hill High School

Castle Hill Blog 17/10/25

We were fortunate to have the fire service in this week to talk to the pupils about the importance of staying safe on and around the time of bonfire night. Please continue to warn your child of the dangers and encourage them to stay safe.

Attention...it's the Army!

Corporal Knowles of the British Army delivered a highly engaging careers talk to Year 7 students. The presentation focused on the essential characteristics and personality traits the Army seeks, as well as an in-depth look at various roles and responsibilities. Pupils participated actively, asking both pre-arranged and spontaneous questions. The session was a valuable learning experience, effectively engaging both individual classrooms and the mixed-year group held in the Design & Technology (DT) room.

Corporal Knowles provided fantastic feedback, noting that all classes were highly engaging and he thoroughly enjoyed delivering the sessions. I have already scheduled a follow-up visit for next year.

And Finally...

As part of our ASDAN learning, we are working on healthy eating and making healthy choices. I wanted to share this excellent piece of homework by one of our pupils.

Have a great weekend!
