Satchel
'Satchel' is the new name for 'Show My Homework', which we're continuing to use to set homework across the school. By logging-on to your Satchel account you'll be able to see what homework has been set and when it is due in. Depending upon the nature or the homework, copies of worksheets might also have been uploaded.
The easiest way to access Satchel is by clicking on the 'Quick Links' tab on the left of our website homepage and then clicking on 'Satchel'. This will take you to your log-in page. We sent log-ins out parents/carers of Year 7 students this week. If your child is in another year group and you've forgotten your log-in, please let your child's form teacher know and we'll send you a reminder.
After-school clubs
We've now finalised our programme of after-school clubs for this term and details can be found here:
If your child is interested in joining a club, then they should collect a letter from the member of staff who runs the club. Places are limited on some clubs and it will be a case of first come, first served.
If you're collecting your child from a club, please make every effort to be punctual, as staff operate clubs on a voluntary basis and often have their own childcare arrangements to fulfil.
Looking out for others
Our Forest School base wasn't fully wheelchair accessible, so Mr Hadley and his Year 11 Outdoor Education class set about solving this. They cleared a pathway and laid some heavy duty tarp, which they then covered with tough mesh track. There's still a bit of work to be done, but you can see from the photo below that the students are doing a fantastic job. They're also getting a real sense of pride and satisfaction from doing a job that they know will help other students in school.
Once they're done, I'm thinking of booking them to do my patio at home!
Have a great weekend!
