Covid vaccinations
Public Health are offering all 12-15 year-olds the COVID-19 vaccination in school over the next two weeks. Effectively this means some Year 7 students and all Year 8-11 students. Your child should have brought home a consent letter today. If you'd like your child to receive the vaccination, please fill in the form that accompanies the letter and return it to school as soon as possible. As yet we don't have a definite date for the vaccinations. If you don’t return the form your child will not be vaccinated.
Sixth Form Open Evening
We're holding a 6th Form Open Evening on Tuesday 28th September. This is a chance for Year 11 students, parents and carers to take a look at what the 6th Form has to offer and chat with Mrs Jones, our Head of 6th Form. The event will run from 3.00 - 5.00pm and is a drop-in (there's no formal presentation), so you can come at any point during that time.
Lost property
It’s inevitable that students occasionally mislay coats, sweatshirts, lunch boxes etc. It’s really helpful if you label items with your child’s name, giving us a better chance of reuniting any lost items.
Top hole!
Sam in Year 12 is a keen golfer and has been awarded the President’s Trophy by Romiley Golf Club. Should we be looking out for him the Ryder Cup this weekend?
Mr T’s target
As Covid restrictions ease, we’re starting to have more visitors in school and our target for the coming week is to offer a friendly greeting to visitors in school. If you’re playing along at home, please encourage your child to give a friendly welcome to any visitors.
Animal selfies
Mr Hadley and his Outdoor Education and Forest Schools groups have set up wildlife cameras around the school grounds, with some surprising results…
This cheeky rascal appears to be taking the ultimate selfie!
Whilst this badger looks like he’s on the way home from a late one!
And on that note … I hope your weekend is as eventful as his!
