Year 11 on tour!

As I write this Year 11 students are on their way back from a fantastic 3-day trip to London. They managed to pack an amazing number of activities into their stay, including the London Eye, a cruise along the River Thames, the London Dungeon and two theatre visits. Many thanks to Mrs Davenport who organised the trip and the staff team who supported her.

Next week it's the turn of Year 7 students, who are off to Kingswood outdoor activity centre for three days. Staff will be posting photo updates on our school Twitter account, @CastleHillHigh.

Helping the people of Ukraine

We're having a non-uniform day next Friday, in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. We're asking for a donation of £1, but would be delighted if you'd like to donate more for such a worthwhile cause.

Support groups

It was World Down Syndrome Day on Monday and a parent of one of our students has shared the following link, which explains the value of support groups, with us. A couple of our students feature in the video.

Homeless chicks!

Could you offer a home to one of these chicks? They're available from the school office all next week, in aid of Francis House hospice.

Feedback

We host many visits from trainee teachers over the course of the year and were delighted to receive the following email this week, from a trainee who had recently spent a week with us:

The picture of school life painted here is a result of students, staff and families working together day in and day out, so, many thanks for your part in making Castle Hill such an amazing school.

Have a great weekend!
