New menu
The school menu has been updated and will now operate on a two-week basis. Details are shown below:
Strike update
You'll be aware that the National Education Union (NEU) has declared strike action on Wednesday 1st February. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay and conditions and the general underfunding of schools.
A significant number of our teaching staff are NEU members and many of them have indicated that they are likely to strike. However, they are under no legal obligation to make their definite decision until the day of action. Unfortunately, it is likely that there will not be sufficient staff in school for us to ensure the safe supervision of all pupils.
We are in the process of putting a definite plan together and will inform you of this on Monday.
Fundraising
We received the certificate below from Children In Need this week, thanking us for our recent fundraising efforts.
Our next fundraising event is on Friday 10th February when we will be asking staff and pupils to 'dress to express' during Children's Mental Health Week. We'll have more information on this in next week's blog.
