Year 8, Lakeside
If you've not already done so, take a look at our Twitter feed, @CastleHillHigh, to see some great photos of Year 8 students having a fantastic time on their residential to Lakeside Outdoor Activity Centre at Windermere.
Many thanks to the staff team involved, the parents and carers who encouraged their children to take part and of course to the students themselves who got stuck into all of the activities.
Open Morning
We've decided to postpone our Open Morning, which had been due to take place on 17th June. This will now take place in the autumn term and will be an opportunity for you to meet our new headteacher.
Year 11 Leavers
We held our Year 11 Leavers' Assembly this morning and it was extra special this year because it was the first time for three years that we could invite parents and carers in. We always carry out an exit interview with Year 11 students asking for their thoughts on their time with us. A few examples are given below:
'Castle Hill has allowed me to be who I want to be, I feel I can express myself!'
'At Castle Hill I get all the help I need and the school has made me more independent.'
'I struggled a lot at primary school and Castle Hill has helped me learn in a way that suits me.'
'Castle Hill has helped me to be confident and to be myself. I’m now an open and honest person. All the staff deserve a pay rise because they all make such an impact.'
And with that, I'm off to find some tissues!
Have a great week off. We're all back in school on Monday 6th June.
