Post-18 Provision
Castle Hill Sixth Form now offer a Post 18 Pre-Internship course.
This one year course will further extend our offer to SEND students, enabling them to further develop their work skills and prepare them for transition onto Supported Internships, Apprenticeships and into employment and/or volunteering.
Curriculum overview
- 3 days a week on work placements and/or mentoring. Mentoring is supporting teachers and TA’s in our year 7 or year 8 provision. Work placements will be tailored to students interests and career aspirations wherever possible.
- 10 x 45 minute classroom based sessions a week, spread over 2 days. Classroom based learning will focus on work skills, wellness and independence. Students will be working towards gaining a qualification in work skills in preparation for work and adulthood.
You will be working towards:
- NCFE Entry Level 3 Award/Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
You will experience:
- Weekly independent study sessions.
- Weekly gym and yoga style relaxation sessions.
- Weekly tracking of your progress in a form tutorial.
- Pastoral support.
- First Aid training.
